About the Role
Seeking an Independent Member with professional expertise in working with offenders, including individuals who pose safeguarding or sexual harm risks. This specialist role brings challenge, insight, and professional oversight into how the Church manages individuals who may present risks to children, adults, or communities.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional oversight into how the Church manages individuals who may present risks to children, adults, or communities.
- Attend approximately 6-8 meetings per year.
- Undertake one hour of reading in preparation for each panel meeting.
Requirements
- Professional expertise in working with offenders, including individuals who pose safeguarding or sexual harm risks.
- Strong expertise in understanding risk, rehabilitation, boundaries, and risk-management frameworks.
- Basic DBS check clearance.
- Submit CV along with a personal statement of no more than 500 words demonstrating relevant skills, experience, and reason for interest.

- £25 per hour for attendance at meetings
