About the Role

This internship focuses on centralizing People data, building reporting infrastructure, and automating workflows to support the scaling of the People team. The intern will work on data hygiene, creating reports and dashboards in the HRIS (ELMO), and setting up automated workflows.

Responsibilities

• Systematically review employee records in Elmo and People folders, flagging and resolving outdated or incomplete information.
• Build recurring reports in Elmo to surface key People team information such as notice periods, document status, and headcount.
• Design and build at least one Elmo dashboard with key People metrics.
• Set up automated workflows using tools to flag missing documents, alert managers to outdated information, or trigger reports.
• Ensure employee records are complete and current.
• Build reporting and dashboards on the HRIS (ELMO).
• Set up automation workflows that run without manual intervention.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in data and analytics.
• Understanding of how to work with AI tools and automation platforms to solve operational problems.
• Ability to learn new systems (Elmo, APIs, automation platforms) quickly.
• Comfort with detail work and problem-solving.
• Willingness to chase people and follow up on gaps.
• Ability to learn APIs and integrations on the fly.
• Interest in how systems connect and how to automate manual work.

Skills

• Data and analytics mindset
• Practical experience with AI tools and automation (Zapier, Make, Python, or similar)
• Experience with HRIS systems or HR operations (valuable)
• Python or basic scripting (valuable)
• API integration experience (valuable)
• SQL or data querying (valuable)
