About the Role
Elia Grid International is seeking a Substation Package Manager to lead the planning and execution of HV substation and STATCOM projects. You will manage technical quality, budgets, and schedules for primary and auxiliary technology packages within our growing Owner’s Engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical packages for primary and auxiliary systems from concept to commissioning
- Provide technical expertise on primary and auxiliary power systems
- Define plant-specific requirements and scopes of work for HV substations
- Draft and review technical guidelines for HV primary equipment and interfaces
- Review and approve HV equipment documentation
- Perform quality assurance through factory acceptance tests and on-site commissioning
- Prepare tender documents and manage the tendering process
- Collaborate with project managers on reporting, budgeting, scheduling, and site coordination
- Ensure compliance with technical customer requirements, regulations, and safety standards
Requirements
- Relevant experience in power transmission, specifically substations and high-voltage switchgear up to 400 kV
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage technologies
- Understanding of HV substation design, auxiliary systems, and interfaces with control, protection, and civil works
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS Visio
- Category B driving licence
- Fluent in German (C1 level)
- Very good command of English (B2 level or above)
