About the Role
The Casual Teaching Community is open for eligible candidates to register an Expression of Interest (EoI) for casual employment with Western Sydney University, The College. This community enables The College to access suitable and experienced individuals for casual employment opportunities across a broad range of business areas at short notice.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality workshops in the classroom
- Undertake assessment moderation and marking
- Participate in curriculum development
- Provide academic support for students and the teaching team
Requirements
- Capacity to teach in the Science Program, specifically biological sciences, chemistry, human anatomy and physiology subjects
- Practical experience in Science areas is advantageous
- Undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field
- Recent and relevant teaching experience within the discipline area, demonstrating quality and innovative teaching practices
- Ability to facilitate learning in small and large groups
- Experience teaching students from diverse linguistic, ethnic, and academic backgrounds
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor to various stakeholders
- Current NSW employee Working with Children Clearance (WWCC)
- Proof of working rights in Australia must be provided at the time of application
