About the Role

Lead the commercial function within a business unit, driving financial performance, managing commercial risk, and ensuring profitable project delivery. Provide commercial leadership, oversee contracts and reporting, and support business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial performance of a business unit and support project profitability.
  • Manage commercial reporting, forecasts and Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
  • Review, negotiate and administer contracts in line with company governance.
  • Support bids, tenders and pre-construction activities with commercial expertise.
  • Manage valuations, variations, payments and commercial risk.
  • Work closely with clients, project teams and subcontractors to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Lead and develop members of the commercial team.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in Commercial Management or Quantity Surveying.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, cost control, forecasting and procurement.
  • Experience managing project finances and commercial reporting.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • RICS qualification is desirable but not essential.
