About the Role
Join our emergency and critical care team at SAGE San Francisco, where we provide exceptional specialty care driven by expertise, compassion, and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Triage incoming patients
- Monitor critical and fractious patients
- Administer treatments and medications
- Assist with diagnostic tests and emergency procedures
- Ensure patient comfort and wellbeing
- Communicate effectively with pet owners
- Maintain equipment and supplies
- Document patient care accurately
- Engage in ongoing education and training
Requirements
- High school diploma
- 3+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, and estimates
- Maintain California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP) within 60 days of hire or transfer (waived if a valid CA-RVT license is held)
- CA-RVT license preferred

- RVT: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
- SVA: $25.00 - $36.00 per hour
- $5.50/hr differential for hours worked between 6pm - 6am
