About the Role

The Brand Engagement Manager will drive the underlying intent of the brand strategy through strategic Oncology Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement, faculty development, and the execution of national and regional Peer-to-Peer (P2P) educational programs. This role supports evidence-based treatment decisions, elevates standards of care, and improves patient outcomes in Japan. The role reports to the Brand Engagement Lead within the Oncology Business Unit and collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in Oncology, including KOL engagement, stakeholder management, marketing, medical, sales, or related functions.
  • Proven experience developing and managing oncology KOL and faculty networks.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and executing regional educational programs, congress activities, and speaker development initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of oncology treatment landscapes, clinical evidence generation, and stakeholder dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and effective educational program design.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a hybrid work environment.
  • Fluent Japanese and business-level English, including the ability to interpret scientific literature, clinical publications, and congress materials.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to translate customer insights into actionable engagement strategies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and business acumen.
  • Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity in a dynamic oncology environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority across cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborative team player with experience working across Marketing, Sales, Medical, and Market Access organizations.
