About the Role

We are seeking a Platform Architect to shape and evolve the architecture and structure of our Procurement platform, a strategic capability supporting direct procurement for goods for resale. This role is critical to our business transformation, translating needs into robust architectural designs and actionable roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Define Platform Architecture Strategy & Roadmap, setting the vision for platform evolution, ensuring alignment with business goals and enterprise architectural principles.
• Design Scalable & Secure Architectures, creating robust designs that balance performance, reliability, cost, and security.
• Select and Govern Technology, evaluating and choosing tools/technologies, establishing standards, and guiding design decisions.
• Ensure Operational Excellence, driving automation, observability, resilience, and performance improvements.
• Maintain & Evolve Architecture Documentation, keeping architectural artifacts up to date.

Requirements

• Expert experience in procurement processes, systems, or SAAS platforms.
• Experience of wholesale, retail, and supply chain technology landscapes.
• Experience with Oracle 12 (forms, SQL & PL/SQL) products software development knowledge and architecture.
• Proven architectural experience in cloud and SAAS environments.
• Strategic & Systems Thinking: Ability to connect platform evolution with business strategy and enterprise architecture principles.
• Technical Architecture Expertise: Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, APIs, integration patterns, and microservices.
• Governance & Standards: Strong grasp of technology governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaboration & Influence: Effective at working across squads, product teams, and enterprise architects.
• Operational Excellence Mindset: Knowledge of DevOps/SRE practices, automation, observability, and monitoring.
• Documentation & Knowledge Management: Disciplined in maintaining architecture artifacts in tools like LeanIX, Confluence, and SharePoint.
• Innovation & Future Readiness: Awareness of emerging technologies and capable of running PoCs.
