About the Role
As a Customs Operations Manager, you will be an individual contributor within the Customs Team, ensuring clients in the EU, UK, Norway, and Switzerland navigate customs compliantly, efficiently, and smoothly. You will actively shape improvements for faster and smarter customs processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee customs processes and ensure daily operations for clients in the EU, UK, Norway, and Switzerland.
- Utilize the customs platform and automation tools for product classification and determination of duties and taxes.
- Coordinate external partners including freight forwarders, hubs, warehouses, and customs agents, and act as a point of contact for customs authorities.
- Collaborate closely with clients to support their business scaling.
- Develop processes, systems, and guidelines tailored to the needs of e-commerce retailers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Customs Operations or customs process management.
- Solid knowledge of export and import regulations.
- Genuine enthusiasm for developing innovative solutions, not just managing processes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluent German (C1+) and English.
