About the Role

This is a hands-on role within the First Line Technology Risk team, closely connected to the daily work of tech teams. It offers variety, visibility, and real impact in managing technology risk.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end incident and issue management, from identification through to resolution.
• Run impact assessments and ensure key risks are escalated early.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and drive meaningful fixes.
• Support cloud control assurance reviews.
• Work on project risk assessments, identifying and challenging technology risks.
• Track remediation and audit actions and maintain strong risk records.

Requirements

• Currently working in technology risk and actively operating in a first line environment.
• Hands-on experience managing risk in real, day-to-day scenarios.
• Experience in technology risk or compliance.
• Exposure to first line risk or closely aligned roles.
• Understanding of risk frameworks and the Australian regulatory landscape (APRA CPS 234/230 etc.).
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS ideal, not essential).
• Strong stakeholder skills, able to engage, challenge and build trust.
• A practical mindset, able to apply risk thinking.
• Applicants will be required to provide evidence of their eligibility to work in Australia.
• Applicants must undertake police and basic credit checks as a condition of employment.
