Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Create new processes, tools, data visualization, and systems for planning and operations.
- Manage demand forecasting, inventory control, ramp, and service contract planning.
- Collaborate with senior managers, technical experts, and departments like FSO, sales, and logistics.
- Manage funded projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
- Provide technical assistance to member governments.
- Monitor performance, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions.
- Represent the region in the global process and manage exceptions.
- Ensure customer needs are met through effective planning and execution.
- Utilize system tools to provide sustainable solutions.
- Translate business requirements into actionable plans.
- Conduct studies on planning and public administration subjects.
- Lead and mentor a team of planners.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure team members have necessary skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Semiconductor experience strongly preferred.
- At least three (3) years of inventory, supply planning, material planning, or demand planning experience.
- Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Fluent in English.
- Fluent in Japanese.
- Has good business acumen to understand the business environment for Applied Materials and our customers.
- Understands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work.
- Is able to undertake analysis of data sets, using strong Tableau expertise or other visualization tools.
- Has knowledge of service parts planning concepts and techniques.
- Has knowledge of supply chain management.
- Possesses project management skills.
