About the Role
The City is building a talent pool for current and upcoming permanent roles within the Cleansing Services team. This is an opportunity for individuals experienced in operating mechanical sweepers, garbage compactors, or similar cleansing plant to secure stable hours, predictable rosters, and permanent ongoing work.
Responsibilities
- Operating cleansing plant such as sweepers, compactors or pressure-washing units
- Street cleansing, litter collection and general maintenance tasks
- Completing scheduled routes and responding to changing priorities
- Keeping plant and equipment clean, safe and ready for use
- Working early-morning shifts and delivering work to a high safety standard
Requirements
- Experience operating cleansing plant such as mechanical sweepers, garbage compactors and / or pressure cleansing units
- MR Driver’s Licence (Must)
- White Card (Must)
- Strong safety focus and reliability
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the role
- Availability to work early starts
- Pre-Employment Medical Check including Drug and Alcohol test
- Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or a permanent resident in Australia

Salary/Compensations
- $1,357.54 - $1,434.57 weekly (pro rata for Part Time) plus 12% Superannuation
- Allowances & Penalty Rates: Adverse Working Conditions Allowance, Early Morning Shift Penalty and Weekend Penalty Rates
