About the Role
This role sits at the centre of Insignia Financial's Wrap platform transformation, shaping the future state of the technical ecosystem. You will play a key role in modernizing the platform, solving complex challenges, and delivering meaningful outcomes for advisers and members. The work is varied, technical, and highly visible, offering the opportunity to influence platform direction and partner with experienced leaders and engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and direction of solutions across the Wrap platform, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and aligned to long term strategy.
- Provide technical leadership and direction across the full technology lifecycle.
- Design end to end solutions that balance performance, scalability, availability, and technical debt.
- Lead design reviews, walkthroughs, and solution validation activities.
- Identify and resolve issues impacting architecture, application integrity, and platform simplicity.
- Support engineering teams with problem diagnosis and root cause analysis.
- Contribute to design, technical analysis, and delivery of software where required.
- Drive service optimisation, modelling, and performance outcomes.
- Lead and contribute to agile ceremonies and cross team forums.
- Support enterprise initiatives and assess their impact across the Wrap value stream.
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards, practices, and governance expectations.
Requirements
- Deep experience in technical leadership/solution design within complex enterprise environments, with the ability to influence both technical and business outcomes.
- 10+ years experience in technology, with experience leading technical teams.
- Strong grounding in object oriented design and modern engineering principles.
- Experience designing across complex, integrated systems and microservices architectures.
- Exposure to both custom built and packaged solutions, including vendor integration.
- Strong understanding of full SDLC, agile practices, and continuous delivery.
- Experience with DevOps, infrastructure automation, and modern web technologies.
- Familiarity with UI and UX considerations and test automation approaches.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing capability.
- Ability to work across multiple business areas to shape solutions and build alignment.
