About the Role

Bay Area Foot Care, part of Balance Health, seeks a reliable and experienced X-Ray Technician/Medical Assistant to take patient images, communicate with clinicians, and assist with administrative tasks. This full-time role is crucial for helping patients stay active and mobile.

Responsibilities

• Properly take required patient images using technological equipment.
• Communicate clearly and timely with clinicians.
• Assist with office administrative tasks.
• Provide coverage for Medical Assistants.
• Assist Physicians with procedures and tasks in patient exam rooms.
• Perform a wide range of tasks related to patient care.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Float to surrounding locations.

Requirements

• High-school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or higher in a related area preferred.
• At least 1-year experience working as an X-Ray Technician in a medical practice or similar environment.
• Current California AART certification.
• Knowledge and full understanding of current radiological standards.
• Hands-on experience assisting Physicians with procedures and tasks in patient exam rooms.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize daily tasks.
• Ability to communicate logically and clearly verbally and in writing.
• Good listening communication skills.
• Maintain professional and courteous interactions with patients, physicians, and coworkers.
• Respectfully accept coaching and guidance.
• PC Proficient with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Understand additional tasks may be assigned.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to pass an in-depth background investigation.
• Ability to pass a clean pre-employment drug screen.
• Experience working in a busy medical practice environment (Desired).
• Experience using Athena (Desired).
• Prolonged periods standing, reaching, and bending.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Physical strength and agility to position patients for diagnostic examinations.

Benefits

• Eligible to participate in company benefit program on the first of the month following 30-days of employment (if 30-hour work week maintained).
