This hands-on role involves owning production-grade infrastructure, improving deployment workflows, and debugging distributed systems to support our engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Operate Kubernetes-based environments, including networking, ingress, autoscaling, and identity integration.
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines for application, worker, service, and infrastructure deployments.
  • Support core platform services including databases, caches, object storage, container registries, and secrets management.
  • Operate workflow orchestration, worker infrastructure, async processing, and agentic analysis pipelines.
  • Improve observability across logs, metrics, traces, alerts, and dashboards.
  • Harden infrastructure security across IAM, secrets handling, network boundaries, and workload identity.
  • Partner with product and backend engineers on frontend, backend, data, and AI-assisted security workflows.
  • Build and maintain internal platform tooling, runbooks, and automation.
  • Debug production issues across infrastructure, application, and database layers.

Requirements

  • Strong experience operating cloud infrastructure in production.
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code experience, including modules, remote state, and safe change management.
  • Hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments.
  • Familiarity with Helm, ingress controllers, load balancers, and workload identity patterns.
  • Experience operating PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
  • Comfortable debugging distributed systems using logs, metrics, and traces.
  • Strong security instincts regarding IAM, secrets, and least privilege.
  • Ability to write automation in Python, TypeScript, or Bash.
  • Good judgment regarding production changes, incident response, and operational tradeoffs.
