About the Role

Helicon is accelerating the world's transition to advanced materials by combining AI software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing. We are looking for individuals with high agency and urgency who are excited to build the impossible.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated manufacturing systems including robotics, effectors, fixturing, PLCs, conveyors, and vision systems.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve throughput, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Own equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Software to connect live-streaming data to Argos (our OS for supply chain, quoting, pricing).

Requirements

• Designed, built, optimized, and troubleshot automated lines.
• Experience with robotics integration and industrial automation systems.
• Familiarity with industrial protocols and safety standards.
• Excited to connect the factory floor to data and control systems.
• Willing to make hard calls without perfect data.
