About the Role

This role is an opportunity for a passionate and innovative Chef to make a significant impact in an Aged Care and Retirement Village setting. You will assist in leading a team, creating memorable dining experiences, and contributing to the community's well-being through exceptional food.

Responsibilities

• Act in the role of the Head Chef when they are away from the kitchen.
• Lead an energetic team in an Aged Care environment and set the standard for quality, warmth, and experience.
• Assist in designing menus with residents, listening, adapting, and bringing local flavour and favourites to life.
• Be a visible, engaged leader, connecting with Aged Care residents and the village community, and building genuine relationships.

Requirements

• A recognised Commercial Cookery qualification (e.g., Cert III or equivalent)
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience cooking in a similar environment or restaurant experience
• Demonstrated experience applying HACCP principles
• Proven experience leading a team and setting a values-based culture
• A genuine desire to deliver an exceptional food experience.
