About the Role

As a Business Development Manager within the Collection Services division, you will play a critical role in driving the continued growth and success of Credit Corp's Australian operations. You will identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities, leveraging industry expertise and professional networks to position Credit Corp as the partner of choice for collection and debt recovery services.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients through strategic networking, industry engagement, and proactive prospecting.
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and commercial solutions for senior stakeholders.
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage opportunities through the full sales lifecycle.
  • Drive growth within existing client accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and strategic account management.
  • Oversee tender submissions, developing strong win strategies and ensuring high-quality responses.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop pricing models, proposals, and commercial solutions.
  • Represent Credit Corp at industry events, conferences, and client functions.
  • Provide regular sales reporting, forecasts, and performance insights to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles within collections, debt recovery, financial services, or a related industry.
  • Deep understanding of the collections industry, including market dynamics, regulations, and operational practices.
  • Established industry network and strong relationship-building capability.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying, developing, and converting business opportunities.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to articulate value propositions and client ROI.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly driven, resilient, and results-focused with a proactive approach to business development.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel to meet clients and prospective clients as required.
