About the Role

The Loren Hotel, an internationally recognized luxury hotel group, is seeking individuals who question the ordinary and strive for excellence to join their team. This role is crucial in maintaining the understated luxury and sophistication that defines The Loren experience, ensuring a welcoming and impeccable environment for guests.

Responsibilities

• Performs turndown service during the PM shift.
• Retrieves items from shelves and storerooms, and sets up cleaning carts with supplies.
• Maintains carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion for efficiency.
• Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways.
• Washes shower walls and tubs, cleans toilets and stall walls, wipes exposed pipes, and cleans mirrors, sinks, and walls in restrooms.
• Replaces towels, soaps, and all room amenities, and restocks literature.
• Washes all hard floor areas by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas.
• Dusts and polishes furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings, including reaching vents and ceiling corners.
• Strips beds of all linen and remakes them with fresh linen, checking and replacing soiled items.
• Lifts mattresses to check for soil between mattresses and under the bed.
• Checks closets for cleanliness, wipes doors, handles, and overhead shelves, and restocks guest room supplies.
• Vacuums rooms, public areas, and hallways, operating vacuums and moving furniture.
• Inspects all doors and windows locks to ensure they are in working order and alerts management to unsecured or unsafe situations.
• Inspects all room equipment (TV, lights/lamps, faucets, radios) to ensure proper working order and reports deficiencies.
• Secures and maintains custody of equipment, keys, and supplies.
• Completes all tasks and duties on the shift in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintains proper etiquette in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by leadership.

Requirements

• Must have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions.
• Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs continually throughout a shift.
• Must be able to push, pull, and move levers, equipment, and furniture throughout a shift.
• Must be able to work with arms raised above head throughout a shift.
• Must be able to maneuver a fully loaded maid cart, weighing up to 50lbs, through hallways and into/out of closets during the entire workday.
• Ability to identify minute debris and dirt in poorly lit areas.
• Ability to read written instructions and computer print-outs.
