About the Role

Arcadis is seeking an Associate Architect with healthcare experience to join their team, supporting major healthcare projects and managing smaller ones. This role offers the chance to work with a diverse client base and contribute to innovative problem-solving within a collaborative team across Health, Education, Science, and Living sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Support and lead projects, managing program, budget, time, and resources.
  • Promote best practices and knowledge sharing within the Studio.
  • Engage in all project aspects: design development, working drawings, contract administration, and on-site services.
  • Coordinate client, team, and project elements, including full documentation with other disciplines.
  • Independently lead project elements or small projects, with or without a team.
  • Manage client relationships and team communication, including project teams and budgets.
  • Maintain project documentation, drawings, and specifications.
  • Process change control requests during construction and address RFIs.
  • Support proposal, submission, and presentation preparation.
  • Interface with statutory authorities during design and construction.
  • Adhere to procedures for quality management, environmental management systems, and health & safety.
  • Contribute to the business development activities of the Studio and office.
  • Resolve complex technical and design issues.

Requirements

  • RIBA Part 3 qualified and ARB registered with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
  • Background in UK projects, specifically Healthcare and potentially Science.
  • Experience working on larger projects as part of a team and leading smaller projects.
  • Working knowledge of Revit and BIM experience.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, design standards, and best practice.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and relationship-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
