About the Role

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for marketing, social media, online e-marketing, public relations, and promotions for various entertainment venues and events. This role develops promotional initiatives to enhance brand image and may coordinate intern and street team efforts for show promotions.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor marketing trends and implement new marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Analyze fan base to target specific demographics for promotions.
  • Coordinate day-of-show activities, including radio station setups and media escorting.
  • Create, proofread, and distribute weekly newsletters.
  • Order and deploy e-cards and e-blasts, ensuring accuracy of venue information and links.
  • Develop and manage social media accounts, researching promotional activities and prizes.
  • Collaborate with artists to promote shows on their social media accounts.
  • Design posting schedules corresponding with event-related deadlines.
  • Create and deliver all show settlements, including actuals and backup.
  • Collect and maintain ticket links, checking for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate asset trafficking for digital media campaigns.
  • Maintain good working relationships with partners, co-promoters, and media.
  • Develop special initiatives to involve the community in events.
  • Organize artist promotions and meet and greets.
  • Upload expense reports, update office calendar, and order supplies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • 2-4 years of related work experience
  • Experience calendaring events
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Photoshop)
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong PR skills, social media savvy, and organization skills
  • Strong work ethic, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Creative thinker
  • Knowledge of the music industry preferred
