About the Role

As a Senior Facility Manager, you will lead a large-scale, geographically dispersed portfolio of facilities across multiple regions and service lines. You will deliver best-in-class facility services for a high-profile client with regional facilities that represent a diverse portfolio of real estate and building types. You will execute with a high-touch, hospitality-driven mindset, taking full ownership of end-to-end business operations and ensuring an exceptional client experience across multiple locations. Leading regional teams in fast-paced, production-driven settings, you will drive seamless operations, proactively anticipate needs, and resolve challenges with urgency and precision. In close partnership with production, operations, and leadership, you will optimize service delivery, minimize disruptions, and consistently deliver results that strengthen client relationships and drive overall account success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational oversight across a regional, multi-site portfolio, ensuring alignment to client objectives, contractual commitments, and ISS standards.
  • Drive a standardized yet flexible service delivery model that supports diverse facility types and operational needs.
  • Lead operational planning, workforce strategy, and resource optimization to achieve financial, operational, and service excellence outcomes.
  • Identify and implement scalable process improvements, automation opportunities, and innovative service solutions.
  • Own P&L performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and margin optimization.
  • Manage facility resources, equipment, vendors, and service providers to ensure operational excellence.
  • Ensure exceptional service delivery through in-person and remote oversight aligned with a safety-first culture.
  • Serve as a senior point of contact and strategic partner for client executives and key stakeholders.
  • Influence and guide long-term facility strategy, aligning services with business growth and operational goals.
  • Lead and facilitate executive business reviews (QBRs), presenting performance insights, risks, and recommendations.
  • Strengthen client retention and growth through proactive engagement, value creation, and continuous service enhancement.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point and trusted advisor to executive-level client stakeholders.
  • Translate client business priorities into operational strategies that enhance performance and experience.
  • Identify opportunities to expand scope, improve outcomes, and increase overall account value.
  • Increase customer loyalty through proactive communication and service excellence.
  • Own and manage full P&L responsibility across the assigned regional facilities, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
  • Drive financial performance while maintaining a strong focus on service quality and client satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities to shift operations from cost-center to value-driven solutions, including efficiencies and potential revenue generation.
  • Implement and deliver ISS global and local standards, best practices, and innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Lead a layered organization of site leaders and functional managers, ensuring alignment, accountability, and performance.
  • Build and sustain a high-performance culture focused on service excellence, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Share best practices and leverage innovation opportunities across the account.
  • Support team development through coaching, development, and succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), risk management, and quality standards across the assigned regional facilities.
  • Ensure strict adherence to contractual, regulatory, and organizational compliance standards.
  • Partner with HR and Legal on employee relations, labor considerations, and compliance matters.
  • Maintain audit readiness and ensure adherence to contractual, regulatory, and company policies.

Requirements

  • 8–12+ years of Facilities Management experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles overseeing complex or multi-site operations.
  • Demonstrated experience with P&L ownership, financial planning, and cost optimization.
  • Experience leading operations across multiple sites within a defined regional geography, effectively overseeing both on-site and remote teams while managing collaboration across diverse locations.
  • Proven success in client relationship management at an executive level.
  • Strong experience leading large teams and developing leadership pipelines.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational systems/tools.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree (MBA or related field) preferred.
  • Experience in highly regulated environments (e.g., Pharma Manufacturing, Healthcare, Life Sciences).
  • Background in transition management, account startups, or service transformations.
  • Experience working within unionized environments or complex labor structures.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., IFMA, FMP, CFM, PMP) are a plus.
  • Lead with a strategic, enterprise mindset.
  • Deliver measurable financial and operational performance improvements.
