About the Role
Alameda Electrical Distributors & California Service Tool is seeking a full-time Counter Sales Associate to support our San Francisco, CA branch. This role involves assisting customers, managing sales orders, and maintaining product knowledge in a fast-growing distribution environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in person or over the phone during the sales process and upsell complementary products.
- Accurately enter customer orders into the computer system.
- Maintain awareness of product knowledge, promotions, and advertisements, suggesting alternative products when appropriate.
- Understand the entire sales process from order placement to payment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly counter, merchandising, and product display area.
- Assist with warehouse duties including stocking, labeling, restocking, and inventory management.
- Support shipping and receiving processes, including UPS shipment procedures.
- Operate a forklift occasionally to assist with warehouse duties.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in the electrical industry and/or familiarity with electrical equipment and power tools is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse and delivery operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
- Ability to work a Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. schedule.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
