About the Role
We are seeking an Associate Account Director to lead innovative search engine optimization and GEO strategies, blending technical SEO expertise with content, prompt, and analytics skills to optimize websites and drive measurable impact in the evolving AI search landscape.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO and GEO strategies to increase organic traffic and performance.
- Oversee project kickoff, execution, QA, launch, and post-launch analysis, ensuring timely delivery.
- Integrate GEO and AI methodologies into strategies, processes, and content plans to adapt to the AI search landscape.
- Build and maintain keyword and prompt lists aligned with client goals using performance data and research.
- Conduct keyword and prompt research to identify content gaps and optimize on-page elements.
- Perform in-depth technical SEO and GEO audits, providing prioritized, actionable recommendations.
- Analyze analytics and search console data to identify trends and inform strategy.
- Support client communication regarding performance updates, strategy, and opportunities.
- Proactively surface risks, anticipate challenges, and recommend solutions.
- Test AI search experiences and evaluate generative answer patterns.
- Develop internal POVs and best practices for AI search.
- Blend traditional SEO KPIs with GEO metrics for advanced reporting and data storytelling.
- Translate complex data into clear, narrative-driven reports demonstrating business ROI.
- Monitor industry trends and share insights with the team.
- Contribute to internal training materials and strengthen the company's search practice.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and external partners to ensure effective implementation of recommendations.
- Ensure SEO, GEO, and content recommendations support broader marketing objectives.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably in an agency or enterprise environment.
- 1 year of experience leading AI-driven search initiatives.
- Proficiency with GSC, GA4, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted SEO tools.
- Understanding of Generative Engine Optimization, AI answer-generation patterns, structured data for AEO, and LLM content consumption.
- Familiarity with emerging GEO tracking methodologies, LLM scraper/monitoring tools, or custom API setups.
- Experience creating content strategies, writing briefs, and optimizing for generative summaries.
- Experience using LLMs for ideation, expansion, and evaluation.
- Ability to develop and validate schema markup.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze data, identify patterns, and translate insights into strategic actions.
- Skilled at creating executive-ready decks and presenting complex technical concepts.
- Ability to guide clients/stakeholders through SEO/GEO recommendations.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-evolving search landscape and adopting new methods and tools.
- Proactive workstream management, issue anticipation, and effective status communication.
- Ability to drive toward client KPIs and goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and search engine algorithms.
