About the Role

Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, is seeking a Regulatory Specialist to support new NYC Legionella compliance for LL77 and Bill 1390. This role is crucial for protecting the world's water resources by assisting customers with local regulations, technical support, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support customers with local regulation around NYC Legionella compliance for LL77 and Bill 1390, including sampling, inspections, audits, technical support, and training.
• Execute required chemistry tests, log and report data, and maintain product inventories at customer accounts.
• Provide technical support to customers, identifying and resolving challenges, and escalating as required.
• Establish effective working relationships with customers and partner on best practices.
• Inspect, calibrate, and maintain chemical feed equipment and process monitoring equipment at customer accounts.
• Conduct regular compliance sampling and reporting to support water system permits.
• Train customers on water quality responsibilities.
• Ensure remediations are carried out properly.
• Assist with scheduling when needed.
• Create and maintain Water Management Plans for customers.

Requirements

• Possess a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
• Immigration sponsorship not available.
• Must be able to access and be comfortable with working in a variety of conditions to include confined spaces, damp and/or dusty locations, hot conditions, and heights.
• Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, use hands to finger, balancing, walking, standing, talk and hear.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam.
• Must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check.
• Undergo additional background screens and/or drug/alcohol testing for customer credentialing may be required.

Skills

• Mechanical aptitude
• Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience
• Working knowledge of cooling towers and water treatment control systems
• Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
