About the Role

The Manager in the Machinery & Equipment (M&E) Valuation practice will independently own client engagements from scoping through delivery, represent the firm professionally, and develop junior team members. This field-active role requires technical valuation expertise and client relationship leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Independently execute M&E valuation engagements of varying scope and size, with accountability for quality and client timelines.
  • Manage all phases of the engagement lifecycle: kickoff, site visit, analysis, report preparation, and client delivery.
  • Serve as a credible, reliable point of contact for clients on assigned engagements, communicating findings clearly to technical and executive audiences.
  • Conduct on-site inspections of machinery, equipment, and industrial facilities, including manufacturing plants, warehouses, and varied operational environments.
  • Delegate effectively to associate and senior associate-level staff, maintaining oversight of work product and developing junior team members through day-to-day collaboration.
  • Exercise sound judgment on when to engage practice leadership versus move forward independently.
  • Assist management in preparing a credible scope of work and bid estimate for new opportunities.
  • Proactively leverage the Managing Director and senior leadership as a resource, particularly in complex or novel situations.

Requirements

  • U.S. work authorization is required.
  • ASA credential in Machinery & Technical Specialties completed or actively in progress.
  • Demonstrated experience in machinery and equipment valuation or a closely related discipline.
  • Proven ability to manage client engagements independently, including scoping and pricing work.
  • Strong professional presence with experience engaging senior or technically sophisticated audiences.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for site visits, including industrial and manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative approach with peers, associates, and firm leadership; proactively engages leadership rather than operating in isolation.

  • Engineering background or mindset with comfort analyzing mechanical and operational systems is a strong plus.
  • Finance background or mindset with comfort understanding and analyzing financial statements is a strong plus.
  • Experience directing and developing associate-level staff is a plus.
