Responsibilities
- Analyze insurance coverage.
- Prepare coverage opinions regarding first party property and general liability matters.
- Conduct litigation, including taking depositions, attending court hearings, and drafting and arguing motions.
- Interpret contracts.
- Represent insurers in complex coverage claims.
- Monitor claims.
- Participate in mediations and arbitrations.
- Engage in declaratory relief litigation in state and federal courts.
Requirements
- At least one (1) to seven (7) years of experience analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions regarding first party property and general liability matters.
- Litigation experience, including taking depositions, attending court hearings, and drafting and arguing motions.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Admission to the California Bar.
- Substantive litigation experience.
- Demonstrated interest in insurance law.
