About the Role
This is a building maintenance and repair position responsible for maintaining buildings and property in quality condition. The role involves performing repairs and conducting preventive and regular maintenance of buildings, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Performs all work orders as assigned by Director or Coordinator
- Ensures that premises and equipment are well maintained, clean, and safe
- Inspects work of technicians and provides feedback to director
- May be available after hours to respond to emergency situations pertaining to heating failure, water leaks, and inclement weather concerns
- Shares on-call responsibilities with the director
- Administers approved procedures as it pertains to assignment of tasks, use of equipment, safety, preventative maintenance, and repairs
- Ensures the efficient and prompt handling of all department work
- Performs from start to completion any and all of facilities-related work orders
- Daily tasks may include general carpentry, remodeling, electrical, plumbing, painting, safety, locks, and repair of appliances & equipment typical to residential & commercial facilities
- Ensures Mission grounds are well-groomed and clean
Requirements
- Building maintenance/repair experience is REQUIRED
- A valid NYS Driver's license is REQUIRED
- Must have a clean driving record to be approved per insurance standards
- Willing to authorize a driver's record and background check
- Physically fit
- Knowledge of safe handling and lifting techniques

About the Company
- This is a building maintenance and repair position (not a maintenance cleaning role).
- Unless otherwise noted as non-driving, all facility workers are expected to know how to operate ODM fleet vehicles.
- Fleet includes a box truck, a refrigerated van, 8-passenger and 12-passenger vans, and a pickup truck.
