About the Role

ACAP is seeking full-time Early Head Start Teachers to create a safe and enriching environment for infants and toddlers (6 weeks to 3 years old) to grow, learn, and socialize. This role is crucial in nurturing and supporting very young children during their earliest years.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute engaging, age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years old.
  • Complete child education plans, assessments, progress notes, and other required documentation.
  • Create and maintain a safe, healthy environment, ensuring adequate supervision in all activities and compliance with all safety and licensing standards.
  • Build strong parent/guardian-teacher relationships with regular communication and collaboration to ensure every child’s growth, development, and well-being are supported both in and out of the classroom.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in early childhood education or related field with at least 15 hours of ECE coursework required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with infant/toddler care in child care, daycare, or other early childhood education setting is required.
  • A Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential with an Infant/Toddler designation and 2 years of experience in infant/toddler care will also be accepted.
  • Valid driver’s license is a plus.
  • Bi- or Multi-lingual skills are a plus.
