About the Role
PAE is seeking a Senior Associate Electrical Engineer to lead multidisciplinary project teams and drive high-quality engineering solutions from concept through delivery. In this senior role, you will provide both technical and project leadership, serving as Lead Engineer and, when approved, Engineer of Record. You will oversee project planning, budgeting, forecasting, and progress tracking to ensure successful and profitable outcomes. This role is key in strengthening PAE's technical operations, contributing to company standards, improving internal processes, and engaging in business development efforts, including interviewing for new projects and building client relationships. The position requires communicating complex design options to stakeholders and representing PAE confidently with clients and industry audiences. As a senior leader, you will mentor and develop staff, promote a culture of excellence, and enforce the company’s Quality Management Plan.
Responsibilities
- Project team leadership and budget management
- Utilize tools and resources for project planning, forecasting, and progress tracking
- Technical leadership of PAE’s design scope as Lead Engineer and/or Engineer of Record (EOR) with approval
- Preparation of deliverable documents including narratives, calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Improve the technical operations of the company
- Active engagement in PAE’s success
- Independently evaluate and apply engineering judgment, techniques, and procedures to complete a project from concepts through construction
- Oversee design calculations and equipment selection
- Effectively communicate design options to a diverse stakeholder group
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Provide mentorship, training, and development for staff
- Significant involvement in company standards and improving company processes
- Enforce the project quality management plan (QMP)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering for discipline work
- 10+ years of industry experience
- Relevant professional credential within discipline (PE, CPD, RCDD, etc.)
- Significant experience in a management or leadership role
- Inspire and motivate staff
- Effective leadership and people skills
- Lead and manage projects successfully and profitably
- Demonstrate commitment to PAE
- Attention to detail and advanced organizational skills
- Serve as a senior technical resource for the company
- Project leadership skills including billing, reporting, resource allocation, and scheduling

- $117,800-$166,400 annually
