About the Role
We are a tech-focused investment fund seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Manager Operations team. This is a hands-on, generalist role ideal for someone who thrives in a lean environment, takes ownership, and is willing to handle both high-visibility initiatives and day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Reporting and operational integration for a recently closed strategic investment, including tracking and presenting performance metrics, managing data flows, and coordinating on ongoing reporting deliverables.
- Manage the manager’s inaugural audit and contribute to the continued development of our internal controls framework while identifying opportunities to formalize, strengthen, and scale existing processes.
- Support month/quarter/year end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Support the year-end budgeting process, including data gathering, variance analysis, and presentation preparation.
- Support fund-level operations including accounts payable processing, vendor management, and expense tracking.
- Assist with NAV oversight, cash management, and other fund administration touchpoints in coordination with our fund administrator.
- Assist with credit facility reporting.
- Maintain and improve operational processes and controls.
- Handle ad-hoc projects.
Requirements
- CPA or CPA student.
- 4-6 years of experience in private accounting, public accounting, or a related field.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, with a solid understanding of accounting standards, financial reporting requirements, and accounting best practices.
- Demonstrated comfort with AI tools and a proactive mindset toward adopting emerging technology.
- Familiarity with private markets or alternative investments preferred.
- Comfortable with both Excel and financial reporting software.
- Strong attention to detail and a low-ego, get-it-done attitude.
- Ability to context-switch across workstreams and work independently in a fast-moving environment.
