About the Role

The UVM Health Medical Group Director is responsible for the operational performance of multiple sites across UVMH, translating strategy into day-to-day operational execution and coaching leaders. A focus on operational metrics and outcomes from a patient and clinician perspective is critical. This individual leads people leaders to ensure consistent execution of workflows, staffing models, and clinic operations, partnering with various leadership levels to drive reliable, efficient operations aligned with Medical Group standards and system priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring consistent execution of workflows, operational standards and patient quality outcomes
  • Coaching and holding supervisors and managers accountable for performance and daily management discipline
  • Achieving budget, staffing, and productivity targets through active oversight
  • Executing patient access initiatives and operational improvements
  • Using data, rounding, and direct engagement to monitor performance and drive action
  • Providing medical group practice subject matter expertise
  • Leading medical group-wide initiatives regarding access improvement, operations, and policy development

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in management
  • At least 3 years of experience in health care operational management
  • Preference for experience leading and managing teams across sites or service lines
