About the Role
As the Madison Reed Hair Color Bar Assistant General Manager, you will ensure a seamless client experience from arrival to departure. This role is crucial for team member performance and client satisfaction by understanding diverse client needs and delivering personalized service. You will be the expert on Madison Reed offerings, including consultations, color services, products, and membership programs, while also providing services and leading the team.
Responsibilities
- Manage, guide, and coach the Hair Color Bar team daily.
- Achieve monthly sales, business goals, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Manage employee schedules based on forecasts and business needs.
- Manage labor and hours budgets based on forecasts and business trends.
- Engage with clients to deliver a distinct and delightful experience, meeting diverse needs and encouraging future engagement.
- Actively work in all positions, including Colorist and Associate Colorist, providing services.
- Support recruitment and networking efforts in partnership with talent acquisition.
- Develop team members to reflect diverse customers, partners, and employee populations.
- Coach and develop team members to ensure high team culture, client satisfaction, and performance.
- Resolve and follow up on all client service issues promptly, including survey comments and satisfaction.
- Guarantee the organization and standards of each Hair Color Bar, including retail and sales displays, are within company guidelines.
- Confirm all company assets are accounted for and maintained.
- Utilize Madison Reed systems to manage the business and drive retail and service sales.
- Work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Requirements
- 1+ years of operational management experience.
- 2+ years of experience working in a service-oriented business.
- Cosmetology/Hairdressing license required (hours completed to perform hair color services, based on state requirements).
- Proven track record of communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Computer skills and POS (Point of Sale) system experience are desired.
- Agree to receive text (SMS) messages related to application and employment.
