About the Role

Workato is seeking a Senior / Principal SAP Architect specializing in Integration and Automation to join our Global Field Specialists team. This role is crucial for driving the adoption of Workato within the SAP ecosystem and collaborating with various internal teams and customers to ensure successful implementations and customer enablement.

Responsibilities

• Drive SAP enablement for Solution Consulting, Professional Services, GTM & Marketing, Partner and Alliance, and Production Support teams as a SAP subject matter expert.
• Promote Workato adoption within the SAP ecosystem, including SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP SaaS applications.
• Collaborate with Workato’s Product & Engineering teams on SAP-related product roadmaps and features.
• Act as a Workato evangelist, demonstrating how Workato can address customer business transformation and orchestration needs.
• Serve as an SAP/Workato advisor and chief architect for complex, enterprise implementations.
• Contribute to global practices and strategic programs by creating reference demos, presentations, white papers, and best practices.
• Enable customers, partners, and internal teams to achieve their KPIs.

Requirements

• 8+ years of technology consulting and expertise in end-to-end solution architecture and full life cycle implementation on SAP PI/PO and SAP Integration Suite.
• Strong knowledge of SAP BTP services with a focus on integration, automation, and AI.
• Knowledge of SAP NetWeaver stack and SAP S/4HANA architectures.
• Expert knowledge of SAP interfacing technologies and methods (RFC, RFMs, BAPIs, ALE/IDocs, OData, SOAP WebServices, XI Proxies).
• Expertise in end-to-end monitoring, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning of SAP integrations.
• Solid foundational knowledge of SAP ABAP design, development, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with setting up ALE/IDoc configuration.
• Proficiency with methodologies for developing and provisioning OData services.
• Familiarity with SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration and transformation approaches.
• Familiarity with key SAP methodologies and extensibility frameworks (SAP Clean Core, RAP, CAP, ISA-M).
• Foundational understanding of core SAP business processes.
• Experienced in cross-functional leadership through influence.
• Proven experience working cross-functionally across business verticals.
• Familiarity with the SAP ecosystem.
• Ability to travel to client sites up to 25%.
• Business English fluency (written and verbal).
