About the Role
The Visual Manager is a key member of the store leadership team, responsible for ALO’s visual and product strategy within the store. This role focuses on planning, product knowledge, analyzing reports, and visual execution to drive efficient and effective visual merchandising, ensuring the store is always customer-ready.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and support the execution of key operational and visual processes.
- Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor by leveraging business performance data.
- Lead strategic product presentation and merchandising, including product recovery, restock, destock, and visual merchandising changes in accordance with directives.
- Effectively plan Visual floor changes through payroll management and adapting visual support to business needs.
- Own visual direction from planning through execution, meeting company expectations, budgets, and timelines.
- Utilize reporting tools to identify business opportunities with product placement, outfitting, and stock levels, making necessary changes.
- Represent the business in meetings and on conference calls.
- Review, monitor, and manage budget, reporting, and other business data, including metrics and informing planning processes.
- Plan future workflow business needs to protect optimal performance.
- Ensure the Visual team embodies ALO's mission and guiding principles.
- Lead the team through accountability, continuous coaching, talent development, and effective communication.
- Establish internal and external pipelines through succession planning and recruitment strategy.
- Oversee the execution of deliverables on the sales floor, achieving KPIs while protecting operational efficiency and visual sets.
- Collaborate and implement the General/Store Manager's vision and work cross-functionally with business partners.
- Achieve visual and sales floor KPIs.
- Demonstrate an ability to navigate the organization with a balance of business need and brand culture.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Agile with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment.
- Independent work ethic, time management skills, and personal accountability.
- Aligns with and embodies ALO’s Guiding Principles.
- Requires constant movement in and around all areas of store.
- Ability to lift, push, carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and/or twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder.
- Ability to stand and move for an entire shift.
- Open availability and expected to work variable shifts including peak days and weekends.
- Expected to work during the company’s Blackout period from the week of American Thanksgiving through the end of the holiday season (the 1st week of January).

- $60,000 - $79,000/year
