About the Role
Join P.I.L.O.T. Services as a Direct Support Professional to provide hands-on support and foster independence for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role focuses on creating meaningful, engaging experiences within a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily support and supervision to adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities
- Assist with personal care and promote independence in daily living skills
- Transport individuals to community outings, appointments, and recreational activities
- Plan and participate in engaging activities such as arts, crafts, cooking, and games
- Support community involvement through volunteering, shopping, and social events
- Maintain accurate daily documentation using the Electronic Health Record system
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and positive environment
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
- Valid New Jersey driver's license with less than 5 points
- Must be compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to be flexible, patient, and creative
