About the Role
This role is responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and electronic systems within a 24/7 operation. You will ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards while supporting project work and equipment modifications.
Responsibilities
- Follow all job-related guidelines and procedures for personal safety, food safety, environment, and company security.
- Adhere to all acts, regulations, and codes related to facilities, equipment, environment protection, and Occupational Health and Safety.
- Follow all GMP Rules & Regulations and Quality Checks.
- Work according to ISO 14001 Environment and OHSAS 18001 Safety requirements.
- Proactively execute the needs of a 24/7 operation and respond to changing demands with short notice.
- Ensure compliance with the Nestle Quality Management System (NQMS) and quality policy.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair High-Speed PLC & VFD Controlled Processes and Packaging Equipment.
- Use and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers, instrumentation, and PCs to observe and repair machine function.
- Maintain electrical Plant Utilities such as lighting and emergency lighting/generators.
- Complete Preventive Maintenance Routines and Work Orders in a timely manner.
- Advise on problem resolution and the procurement of material and equipment for individual jobs.
- Assist in project work, equipment modifications, and new installations.
- Keep equipment file documentation system current and updated.
- Maintain the EET Shop in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Ensure Departmental and Electrical Shop logbooks are kept current.
- Participate in relevant training as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Certified Licensed Electrician with an Ontario Journeyman’s Electrical License (309A or 422A).
- Membership or eligibility for the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists is required.
- Strong Knowledge of Ontario Electrical Code.
- Experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
- Excellent working knowledge of electronics is required.
- Ability to follow and apply company policies and procedures.
- Strong computer skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving and leadership skills.
- Must exhibit accuracy, efficiency, effectiveness, and initiative in the job.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a team environment.

Salary/Compensations
- $45.29/hr + shift premiums
- Wage increases May 1st of each year as per the collective agreement.
- Overtime paid at time and a half on Saturdays and double time on Sundays.
