About the Role
The Information Application Development Engineer / Architect will create modern industrial applications across OT and IT layers, ensuring Connected Enterprise and IIoT solutions. This role involves co-innovation with customers, providing technical pre-sales and post-sale support, and developing software solutions that bridge control systems with enterprise and cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop applications using Logix Designer and FactoryTalk Optix
- Build edge-to-cloud integrations using DataMosaix, Plex, and Fiix
- Develop APIs, microservices, and modern web applications
- Utilize Time-Series Databases and Data Visualization Tools
- Define architectures from Logix control layer to cloud
- Align control data models with enterprise and cloud solutions
- Apply cloud-native and event-driven architectures
- Improve adoption of OPC UA standards
- Design data models using Smart Objects, FT Optix, and FT DataMosaix
- Integrate Logix, historian, and enterprise data
- Promote analytics and predictive use cases
- Provide technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation, and maintenance
- Translate complex architectures into actionable solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- Legal authorization to work in the US
- Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience
