About the Role

Empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live meaningful, fulfilling lives by overseeing daily operations of a residential home, mentoring a team, and creating a safe, person-centered environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of a residential home while ensuring high-quality, person-centered services.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop the Assistant Residential Manager and Direct Support Professionals to promote teamwork and professional growth.
  • Coordinate staffing schedules and ensure appropriate coverage to meet the needs of people we support.
  • Support people we support in achieving their personal goals, building independence, and participating in their communities.
  • Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations, agency policies, documentation requirements, and safety standards.
  • Monitor program budgets, site maintenance, vehicle records, and required operational reports.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, families, clinical team members, and community partners to ensure quality services.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, staff development, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for people we support and employees.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (TASC) required
  • One year of supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to supervise, coach, and develop employees
  • Valid NYS driver's license required
  • Ability to complete all required agency training and certifications
