About the Role

As a Server at Tiki Tatsu-Ya, you will be a key player in providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Utilizing your strong communication skills and attention to detail, you will enhance guest satisfaction and ensure smooth service operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure service stations are clean, organized, and fully stocked for efficient service.
• Wipe down and set up tables according to the floor chart, ensuring all table settings are accurate and presentable.
• Take and review proper notes during pre-shift meetings about menu changes and specials, cocktails, and large parties to stay informed.
• Greet tables in a friendly and timely manner, ensuring guests understand the concept and dining style.
• Double-check with each table about any allergies and dietary restrictions to ensure safe and accurate meal preparation.
• Comply with alcohol control policies to ensure the responsible service of alcoholic beverages.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests, ensuring clarity and completeness.
• Inform the kitchen of large orders and coordinate the coursing of dishes to maintain a smooth service flow.
• Prepare and present checks to guests, handle payments, and process transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Handle customer complaints or issues professionally, seeking solutions to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Report any significant complaints to management.
• Follow the close-down checklist procedures and check out with a manager before leaving to ensure all tasks are completed and the shift ends smoothly.

Requirements

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Valid food handlers and TABC certificates.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.
• Ability to work prolonged periods of standing and navigating the kitchen environment.
