About the Role

Trade Republic is Europe's largest savings platform, operating in 18 countries with over 10 million customers. The legal team plays a crucial role in enabling the company to provide the best service and product within the legal framework, working closely with business, management, and other stakeholders in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Independent handling of litigation cases with a strong focus on international cases, including out-of-court correspondence and drafting court statements for external lawyers.
• Close and independent collaboration with internal stakeholders to create strong defenses.
• Development of litigation strategies for various case scenarios.
• Very close guidance of and collaboration with external lawyers in each jurisdiction, acting as the interface between the Trade Republic legal team and external law firms.
• Collaboration with in-house litigation lawyers, including independent case handling, court hearing attendance, and settlement negotiations.

Requirements

• Successfully completed training as a German fully qualified lawyer (1. and 2. state exam), Diplomjurist (only 1. state exam), or Wirtschaftsjurist (LL.B. or LL.M.).
• At least 4+ years of professional experience in independent claims handling or handling court cases.
• 2+ years of experience in international litigation cases.
• Experience working with and efficiently guiding a variety of external lawyers.
• Communicative, team-oriented, and proactive in anticipating risks.
• Skilled in problem-solving and driving change with innovative solutions.
• Demonstrated ability in independent management of assigned tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English.
