About the Role

Mr. Greens is seeking an Outside Sales Representative in the Austin area. Mr. Greens is a leading produce distributor in Texas and Florida, known for its exceptional service and diverse clientele including restaurants, hotels, and grocery stores.

Responsibilities

• Establish new accounts by planning daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets.
• Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential account volume.
• Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
• Answer customer questions about products, prices, availability, and uses.
• Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
• Submit activity and results reports, including daily call reports and weekly work plans.
• Gather marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
• Recommend changes in products, services, and policy based on results and competitive developments.
• Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendations.
• Attend and participate in sales and district meetings.
• Communicate and collect accounts receivable, working with the credit department and clients.
• Manage deliveries according to the routing schedule and troubleshoot order process issues.
• Review and analyze daily and weekly reports, including special-order requests and sales/gross profit data.
• Perform administrative duties such as preparing sales budgets and reports, maintaining sales records, and processing credits.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2 years of outside business-to-business sales experience in the Food and/or Produce Industry.
• High school diploma required.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and time management skills.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Basic PC skills, proficiency in Excel, and experience with MS Outlook.
• Must pass pre-employment Background and Drug screen testing.
• Must live in the Austin area.
• Regularly required to drive, sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone.
• Frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
