About the Role

Develop and implement customer-specific business plans aligned with Hero UK&I brand and category objectives to drive profitable growth for both the company and its customers. This role involves managing relationships with key retailers such as Co-Op, Discounters, and Booths, and collaborating with internal teams including Sales, Online, Brands & NPD, Management, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute joint business plans for assigned customers within the sales strategy.
  • Translate Hero UK&I brand strategy, category, financial, and retailer requirements into mutually profitable growth plans.
  • Identify and drive business development opportunities using all available data sources in conjunction with Category and Marketing colleagues.
  • Maximize the effectiveness of Hero UK&I promotional spend within customer accounts.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (supply chain, finance, marketing, commercial) to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
  • Build customer relationships and resolve conflicts impacting the business plan.
  • Communicate effectively internally and externally regarding the efficient day-to-day running of customer businesses.
  • Lead the development of Hero UK&I Instore impact by improving product position and presence on and off-shelf.
  • Monitor and evaluate competitor activity and make strategic recommendations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all necessary administration and achieve key targets for forecast and invoice accuracy.
  • Actively contribute to the wider sales team to achieve overall Hero UK&I sales targets.
  • Act as a catalyst for change and a sales leader, driving continuous improvement.
  • Ensure sustainable and ethical practices are a key function of the role.
  • Understand and communicate Hero UK&I sustainability policies, plans, and practices to stakeholders.
  • Support the delivery of sustainability initiatives and ensure best practices to avoid excessive packaging, wastage, and supply chain issues.

Requirements

  • Extensive retail account management experience within the FMCG sector.
  • Experience with customer and brand portfolio management.
  • Proven commercial skills.
  • Proven experience with market and financial data analysis.
  • Strong communication and interaction skills across senior management.
  • Self-motivated and agile learning approach.
  • Full UK driving licence.
