About the Role

We are seeking a passionate, creative, and purpose-driven Design Lead to shape and deliver a new mentoring initiative at The King's Trust. This pivotal role involves leading the design, pilot, and launch of mentoring offers to inspire businesses, communities, and volunteers to support young people across the UK. You will use user-centered design expertise and research to create engaging, scalable, and impactful experiences that help young people access support, build confidence, and unlock their future.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, pilot, and launch of a suite of mentoring offers.
  • Develop innovative approaches such as in-school experiences, digital micro-mentoring, and enhanced mentoring pathways.
  • Design experiences that are engaging, scalable, and impactful.
  • Ensure designs resonate with partners, funders, and communities.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams, young people, employers, and supporters to co-create solutions.
  • Set direction, drive delivery, and champion innovation across a complex programme.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in user-centred design.
  • Relentless focus on what works for young people.
  • Ability to use insight, research, and creativity to design experiences.
  • Willingness to travel to London on a regular basis if based outside of South London.

  • £45,000 to £65,000
