About the Role

The Lead Assistant Superintendent provides support to the Superintendent by overseeing the field construction process. This role coordinates subcontractor work in various areas, ensuring quality and adherence to project goals.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a representative and advocate of JPI’s Culture and Guiding Principles.
  • Oversee the management of project safety, ensuring daily implementation of safety measures with an average score above 95 per quarter.
  • Oversee the management of the SWPPP program, ensuring daily adherence to procedures.
  • Oversee all field operations, monitoring the quality of workmanship and materials.
  • Ensure all personnel schedule city and 3rd party inspections and follow JPI internal quality control measures.
  • Ensure all project goals are met.
  • Schedule subcontractor work, including mobilization and deliveries, with the Superintendent.
  • Create schedules with the Superintendent to ensure project goals are met.
  • Assist in minimizing project costs.
  • Generate all assigned schedules in written form.
  • Ensure team members take, label, and record photo documentation in Procore daily.
  • Create, monitor, and retrieve responses to RFIs.
  • Conduct weekly subcontractor safety and production meetings.
  • Supervise and delegate work to Assistant Superintendents, Punch Carpenters, and Laborers, ensuring safety, SWPPP, Production, and Quality standards are met.
  • Serve as the Superintendent when the Superintendent is unavailable.
  • Closeout Projects.
  • Assist in resolving on-site subcontractor issues.
  • Manage safety, SWPPP, Quality, and Production issues with subcontractors to generate resolutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of construction experience.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience.
  • A minimum of three years multi-family construction experience required.
  • Must be familiar with multifamily construction procedures.
