About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate with product owners and engineering teams to develop a next-generation data feed platform. The role focuses on building Python-based data pipelines and file-based delivery systems on AWS, while also contributing to web interfaces for monitoring and configuration.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Python-based data pipelines on AWS using S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Glue, and ECS.
- Design file delivery mechanisms supporting CSV, Parquet, and JSON formats with partitioning, compression, and encryption.
- Implement data quality validation, monitoring, and alerting systems.
- Migrate legacy feed products to AWS cloud-native architecture.
- Participate in DevOps practices including CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
- Contribute to building web interfaces for feed monitoring and configuration.
- Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and production support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- 5+ years of software or data engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Python for data pipelines, ETL processes, and backend services.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with file-based data formats and designing reliable delivery solutions.
- Familiarity with SQL.
- Experience with modern development practices including Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.
