About the Role
As an Assistant Manager for Gloria Osteria in Milan, you will embody Big Mamma's values of excellence, meritocracy, entrepreneurship, and authenticity. You will be responsible for the quality of service, contributing to the restaurant's performance, ensuring smooth front-of-house operations, and driving the success of the front-of-house team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure excellent, consistent, and fast service aligned with Big Mamma's vision.
- Welcome guests and ensure an impeccable dining experience.
- Optimize table turnover, service flow, and staff efficiency in table preparation.
- Achieve average ticket goals through briefings, sales training, performance monitoring, and individual coaching.
- Ensure adherence to hygiene standards in the dining area.
- Propose initiatives to optimize personnel costs.
- Supervise team shifts.
- Manage orders and inventory (wines, dishes, aprons).
- Manage the cash register and ensure proper equipment use and maintenance.
- Participate in the selection process for new team members.
- Support the onboarding of new team members.
- Train the team daily and foster a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Reporting to the Front-of-House Manager.
