About the Role

CIR is building a talent pool for future opportunities. Interested candidates can be considered when a role becomes available. This role involves engaging with projects to ensure evidence-based design, real-time monitoring, and robust assessment for learning and adaptation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of programme design, theories of change (TOCs), and Results Monitoring Frameworks (RMFs).
  • Develop and implement research and data collection methodologies.
  • Liaise with programme teams, external partners, and stakeholders to coordinate data collection.
  • Support and quality assure monitoring and progress reports.
  • Conduct monitoring, evaluation, and learning reviews to assess progress and recommend improvements.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in monitoring, evaluation, and learning efforts.
  • Ability to develop and implement theories of change, results frameworks, and MEL plans for programmes.
  • Knowledge and experience of submitting project reporting to meet UK government donor standards.
  • Knowledge and experience of designing and delivering MEL Frameworks for communications projects.
  • Knowledge and experience of qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation techniques, preferably including the use of social media and online tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate technical terminology for lay audiences.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise, and timely reporting.
  • Highly organised and methodical approach to collating data.
  • Ability to contribute to project monitoring, analysis, and reporting in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills.
  • Must be UK-based.
  • Must be able to travel to London at least 2 days per week.
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
