About the Role

The Associate Director, Programmatic is responsible for delivering successful audience-based programmatic media programs across a portfolio of KINESSO clients. This role provides thought leadership on audience strategies, optimization, and campaign architecture, serving as a key lead in expanding relationships with agency partners. The position requires a highly collaborative, analytical individual who uses data-enabled problem-solving to ensure flawless campaign execution and exceed client goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of programmatic professionals ensuring flawless technical setup and client objective alignment for all campaigns.
  • Oversee campaign execution and optimization based on historical performance and broader agency objectives.
  • Communicate and recommend technical solutions to agency partners that drive client business results.
  • Proactively manage potential campaign performance issues and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Review and approve campaigns, ensuring budget alignment, accurate naming conventions, and appropriate DSP selection.
  • Ensure client expectations are met and adapt strategies as required.
  • Build and set up campaign reports within the reporting dashboard.
  • Support finance primes and senior leadership with ad hoc reports and insights.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements for team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure processes are effectively communicated and consistently adhered to by team members.
  • Understand business objectives and challenges to uncover new opportunities for products and solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and develop partnerships with DSPs to stay updated on new features and address technical issues.
  • Ensure team members are trained and certified in required areas.
  • Oversee the team to ensure utilization of advanced optimization techniques.
  • Proactively present strategic brand solutions to client teams.

Requirements

  • Professional or educational background in Marketing or Advertising.
  • Leadership and advanced experience in programmatic, digital display, search, trafficking, ad operations, or site analytics optimization.
  • Experience optimizing campaigns (e.g., display campaigns, SEM, trafficking).
  • Familiarity with ad serving and campaign management tools (e.g., DoubleClick, Google Analytics, Google Ad Sense).
  • Basic understanding of tagging for analytics.
  • Fundamental knowledge of online media metrics and analysis.
  • Learning agility with a passion for continuous development.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Highly developed organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent ability to manage and prioritize time effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving, assisting the team, and self-development.
  • Ability to develop and foster relationships with media partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability using Excel, with knowledge of pivot tables, basic formulas, and visualizations.
