About the Role
The Yield Book is a premier fixed income analytical system used by top financial professionals. As a subsidiary of LSEG, The Yield Book Inc. offers a suite of products including The Yield Book, Excel Add-in, API, and Calculator.
Responsibilities
- Model Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (RMBS, agency and non-agency) and Asset Backed Securities (ABS).
- Model structured products such as US and non-US issuance deals of various asset types including mortgages, student loans, credit cards, auto, and equipment loans.
- Perform cash flow modelling using in-house proprietary software tools and interpret legal documents to create C++ based models.
- Assist with maintenance of modeled securities for current payments and collateral updates.
- Perform quality assurance checks on the database of modeled securities.
- Communicate with trustees, underwriters, and servicers.
- Work on various ad-hoc projects as needed.
Requirements
- Strong analytical background.
- Motivated and driven.
- Willingness to learn.
- Detail-oriented, energetic, and exhibit a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of basic accounting.
- Familiarity with computer programming and fixed income securities is a plus.
Skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Previous knowledge of mortgage backed securities is preferred but not essential.
- Experience with Python or C++ preferred.
